Tractor Seat Chair Comfort {Project 365 - Day 13}

Yesterday I shared a pic of my grandmother's rocking chair.
Today's pic is of my favorite chair in my classroom:

I got this tractor seat chair from Target a few years ago.
It's my favorite and it goes along perfectly with my theme.
It even raises up and down - I know, right?!

Rocking Chair Memories {Project 365 - Day 12)

My grandmother passed away a little over a year ago.  One of the treasured
pieces I received from her home was this beautiful rocking chair.

It brings back memories from such happy times.

Project 365 {2015} - Day 10 and 11 Coziness and Christmas

My day 10 pic is one of the coziest spots in our home:

I got this chair from a friend who was moving and couldn't take it.  I intended on taking
it to school and using it in my reading area.  But once we got it home, I knew it was
there to stay.  It matches with our decor and is extremely comfy and cozy!

My day 11 pic is our last sign of Christmas:

The hubs brought this poinsettia home from work before
the holidays.  I love the deep reds (my favorite color).

Project 365 {2015} - Day 9 Friday Night Wine

As a teacher, Friday nights are when I crash.  My eyelids are heavy
as I type this.  It's 8:17 EST and I'm about to crash.  Stick a fork in me.

But Friday night dinners - that's my moment to welcome the weekend.

This cork shot is in celebration of the relaxing weekend ahead.
We don't have too much on the agenda and I love that.

What do you have planned this weekend?

Project 365 {2015} - Day 8 Hot Chocolate

Not sure about the temps where you are, but it is SO cold here in Atlanta.  The temps are below
freezing, the wind is howling, and I can barely stand to take the pooch outside to potty.

In an attempt to warm up (besides the sweats and blanket),
I made this yummy mug of hot chocolate.

How do you stay warm on these frigid nights?

Project 365 {2015} - Day 7 Peppers

The hubs and I were prepping for tomorrow's chili.  His job was chopping the meats and onion.
My job was the peppers.  I couldn't help but snag a shot of the colorful peppers as a cut them.

Food prep and cooking is so relaxing for me!  The colors, the smells, and just knowing
you turned a few ingredients into something yummy makes my heart smile!

Project 365 {2015} - Day 6 Knick Knacks

It's Day 6 of my first Project 365.  I found inspiration for today's pic in my bedroom.

I got this little knick knack from Hobby Lobby a couple years ago.  I think it's true
purpose is to hold something fancy, but it just sits on my side table.  It's super
cute and matches our decor.  Nothing deeper.

Does anyone else have these meaningless but cute knick knacks?
Or am I on my on for this one?

Project 365 {2015} - Day 5 School Birthday Goodies

When I'm not taking pics, I'm in the classroom with my 24 first graders.  I'm in my 10th
year of teaching and I've finally found a student birthday gift that I absolutely LOVE!

Hence the reason for my Day 5 pic:

Today was my first day back after a two week winter break.  It was a teacher work day
and I actually got a TON of work done.  I even had time to put out these students
birthday gifts!  These kiddos had birthdays over the break (or within the next
couple days) and I wanted them to find a nice surprise on their desk!

Project 365 {2015} - Day 4 Playtime with the Pooch

It's Day 4 of the Project 365 and it's too wet to go outside and take pics.
The pooch and I have been playing nonstop inside.  In one of her downtimes,
I noticed this little guy sitting in front of our bedroom window.

This is her "Lamb Chop" that my MIL gave her for Christmas.
Who else remembers the show and that never-ending song...

"This is the song that doesn't end.  It just goes on and on, my friend...."

I digress.  Now to watch more football and get that song out of my head.
And feel free to join in the Project 365 fun {HERE}!

Project 365 {2015} - Day 3 Pin-spired Fried Pickles

It's Day 3 of the Project 365.  It's still rainy and gray like yesterday,
so we hit up the grocery store to try a new recipe.

I found {this} recipe on Pinterest for fried pickles.  I've had a little
Fry Daddy for years, but haven't been brave enough to try it.

The hubs and I got the assembly line going and created our first batch:

Luckily, we didn't burn down the house!  And the pickles turned out perfectly!

We finished making the entire jar and dipped them in ranch dressing.  YUM!
I'm just thrilled that one of my Pinterest recipes worked out!

Project 365 {2015} - Day 2 Rain Puddles

It's been a dreary, soggy day here in Atlanta.
I figured, "Why not snag a pic of the rain for Day 2?"

It's funny how even through the rain you can find a cool shot.

Project 365 {2015} - Day 1 & Dominican Republic Fun!

I'm excited to start my Project 365 with Click It Up a Notch!

Here's my day 1 pic:

I took this picture in the Dominican Republic a couple days ago.
We spent our Christmas vacation at the Riu Palace Macao and enjoyed
many sunny days on the beach there.  These palm trees were scattered
about the beach, providing much needed shaded from time to time.

I wanted to share some other pics from the DR:
{mix of iPhone and DSLR pics}

{sunsets and sandcastles}

{the view from our room}

{DR rain gutters}

{part of the RIU Palace Macao beach}

{sunset pic from our room}

{had to snag a sunset pic before dinner}

{first beach day - sand, sun, serenity}

{looking up from my beach chair}

Join in the Project 365 fun too!
